About

I create whimsical and humorous artworks born from the freedom of the subconscious, using surreal doodles and bold colors to evoke joy and spark creativity. My process is intuitive, with each piece evolving organically, inviting the viewer into a playful world where shapes and figures take on new, unexpected forms.
I am inspired by the idea of helping people reconnect with the lightness and innocence often lost in daily life. When someone encounters one of my pieces—whether hanging on a wall or passing by a gallery—I want them to feel uplifted, to see the world through a lens of wonder, and to momentarily escape the stresses of the day. My art is a reminder to embrace creativity and find joy in the little things.
BIO
From the moment I could grip a pen, I was spellbound by the act of creating. Sketching, doodling, and painting became my language of expression, a lifelong passion that has shaped who I am.
Growing up, I wasn’t certain what I wanted to be, but one thing was always clear: I wanted art to be part of my life. Navigating school with dyslexia and dyspraxia often left me feeling out of place academically, so I leaned heavily on creativity and humour, becoming the class clown while quietly filling pages with drawings.
Although my first attempt at formal art education was short-lived, my passion for creating never disappeared. While working various sales jobs, I continued painting and drawing whenever I could. It wasn’t until I was 18 and experiencing significant mental health struggles that I discovered a way of creating that would shape my artistic practice forever: automatic drawing.
By allowing my hand to move freely across the page without a plan, strange and surreal forms began to emerge. Lines transformed into characters, creatures, and unexpected worlds. Years later, I learned that this process was rooted in the surrealist technique of automatism, a method designed to bypass conscious thought and tap directly into the subconscious. Every drawing became an adventure, revealing something I never could have planned.
Even while building a career in sales, I found myself constantly returning to art. During quiet moments, I would fill sketchbooks with doodles while my mind wandered elsewhere. Over time, these drawings accumulated in drawers, shelves, and forgotten corners of my home, a growing collection of private worlds created purely for the joy of making them.
Eventually, I realised that art could no longer remain hidden away. Wanting to share creativity with others, I founded a charitable art company dedicated to raising awareness and funds for mental health through exhibitions. The first exhibition featured 111 artists and over 150 artworks, selling more than 60 pieces within a week. What began as a single event quickly grew into a series of exhibitions, with nearly 200 artworks sold across multiple group and solo shows.
Like many people, the pandemic forced me to adapt. While attempts to move exhibitions online were challenging, the experience gave me something invaluable: time. Working from home allowed me to move beyond sketchbooks and experiment with larger paintings, new materials, and a more ambitious approach to my work.
Today, I continue to create using the same automatic drawing techniques that first captivated me all those years ago. My whimsical and humorous characters emerge from the subconscious before being transformed into bold, colourful paintings and illustrations. Each piece begins as a simple line and evolves organically into something unexpected.
Since my first solo exhibition in 2021, I have sold more than 250 original artworks and countless prints. What began as private doodles hidden away in drawers has grown into a body of work shared with collectors around the world.
